Most of the few people reading this blog never saw the Batman television series that aired from the year that I was born, 1966, through 1968. Just to show I was slow from the start, I didn’t realize until the 1980s that this was a comedy series. I worried from episode to episode that Batman might not survive the cliffhanger ending of the previous episode until “the same bat time” on the same “bat channel.” This was one of my favorite television shows growing up and one of its best features were the villains. A wonderful assortment of Hollywood heroes willing to play the comical foils to Adam West’s cowled caped crusader.
