YouthCamp: Day Two, Morning Sessions

The first morning sessoin I went to was on UNICEF, which focused on the importance of developing applicatoins for mobile phones to benefit children, particularly in Southern Africa.  I had seen this presentation before, last year in South Africa.  UNICEF has developed a software package, RapidSMS, which is a powerful web based SMS software package.  UNICEF is also supporting a lot of interesting ways to use mobile phone for education, primarily nonformal education.

YouthCamp 2009: Day One, Morning Sessions

youthcamp-istanbulSome (perhaps even the majority) of the few people who follow my blog are here in Istanbul at this YouthCamp. Rather that enjoying the wondrous grilled meat that Istanbul has to offer (more on Turkish grilled meat in an upcoming blog post), these readers were more interested in complaining about this blog.
